Season Canceled

Dear LAX Family,

It is with great sadness and disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the Spring 2020 LAX season.  Your patience has been sincerely appreciated as the club has navigated uncharted territory.  Please remember that YOU are the heartbeat of our organization and you have been in our thoughts and prayers during this dark and uncertain time.

Over the past several weeks, the club has had many, lengthy virtual meetings to discuss and plan for the cancellation of the season.  The fundraiser was an integral part of that plan.  We are very grateful to everyone who participated in the fundraiser, especially those who went above and beyond to sell large amounts of tickets.  The fundraiser was approved through a PA Games of Chance License and legally had to be seen through to completion.  The proceeds of the fundraiser will HELP to cover some of the following expenses:

1.     Over $15,000 in expenses leading up to the start of the season to include 2 weeks of indoor training at HotShots, new uniforms, coach training, new game and field equipment, new helmet purchases, storage fees and much more.  

2.     $3600 to fund the payout for the 2 winning tickets from the fundraiser.  

3.     Almost $25,000 in registration fee refunds.

Below is how your refund will be computed:

Registration Fee

+    Volunteer Fee

-       Late fee (if paid)

-       Buy Out (if you could not sell your fundraising tickets)

-       $3 processing fee (charged by the website)

Total Refund

Refunds will either be in the form of a check or credit card refund.  That process is still being researched. If checks are issued, they will be mailed to the address listed in the registration system.  If your address has changed since you registered, please contact me ASAP at [email protected].  Refunds will be issued in the coming weeks.  You will be notified through Remind when refunds have been completed.

Pictures:  You will be contacted when your pictures are available for pick up.  The pictures are stuck in processing and have been delayed due to business closures.

Late Ordered Uniforms:  You will be contacted when your uniform is ready for pick up.  The manufacturer is also closed.

Rental Helmet Return:  You will be contacted separately to arrange a date and time to drop off the rental helmets.  The fee will be refunded if helmet is returned in like new condition.


Although we are all going through uncertain and difficult times, we are all in this together.  Stay safe, stay strong and we look forward to seeing everyone on the LAX field next year!
